Respite Care and Habilitation Provider (West Valley)

Developmental Enrichment Centers is a non-profit organization serving children and adults with both center-based and in-home care services. We are currently seeking experienced and caring individuals to provide in-home care services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The ideal provider is able to understand, support and implement the goals/objectives in the client’s Individual Service Plan (ISP). Additionally, develop, support and implement purposeful and age appropriate scheduled activities in keeping with the goals/objectives. Assist the individual to attain or maintain safe and sanitary living conditions and/or maintain personal cleanliness, and activities of daily living. Direct Care Worker

DEC is currently seeking caring and self-motivated individuals to assist children and adults with development disabilities to learn essential life skills. Available positions in our Direct Care Worker program include our Adult Program and Summer Children’s Program. The adult program offers full-time flexible scheduling while the children’s program is seasonal, through June and July, with both full and part-time positions available. The summer program provides a great opportunity for teachers, students, and other paraprofessionals. Interested seasonal candidates are further encouraged to inquire about regular employment positions at the conclusion of the summer session.

Direct Service Provider: In-Home Care

Respite provides short-term care to relieve the un-paid caregiver. This service includes supervision of the individual while meeting their social, emotional, and physical needs. Services provided may consist of assistance with prescribed medications, providing necessary first aide, meal preparation, and transportation support. Habilitation is a provision of intervention that supports developmental skills, behavior intervention, and sensory motor development, and is designed to maximize the functional skills of the individual served. Assistance clients with self-care skills, mobility, and daily activities. Understand, support and implement the goals/objectives in the consumer’s Individual Service Plan (ISP). Additionally, develop, support and implement purposeful and age appropriate scheduled activities in keeping with the goals/objectives set in each consumer’s ISP.
